Surgical Technique
The TFN-ADVANCED™ Proximal Femoral Nailing System (TFNA) is an advanced fixation system for proximal femur fractures. With an outcomes-based design1 and reduced procedural complexity2, it’s designed to meet previously unmet surgical needs in hip fracture treatment.
The TFN-ADVANCED Nailing System is a part of the Advanced Nailing System from DePuy Synthes and has features that allow surgeons to address proximal femur fractures.
The system includes:
Explore how our pre-assembled locking mechanism design compares to other cephalomedullary nail designs.
Get a deeper insight into all the evidence we’ve collected that demonstrates the effectiveness of the TFN-ADVANCED™ System compared to other cephalomedullary nailing systems.
We’ve used multi-ethnic 3D computation studies to improve our nail shape to better fit patient anatomies and to help avoid impinging the anterior cortex (compared to nails with a larger curvature radius).3,4
Our titanium alloy and BUMP CUT™ Design of the proximal hole provides improved fatigue strength compared to existing nails of similar size.5*
The TFN-ADVANCED™ System includes all the features of our Advanced Nailing System, including standard and low-profile locking screws and multiplanar locking technology.
