ExtremiLock Ankle
Product Overview
The ExtremiLock™ Ankle Plating System is designed to provide options for fixation of fractures of the tibia and fibula all in one comprehensive system. An Ankle Fusion Plating module is included to address ankle fusion management.
7 plates families and 7 screw types are offered in the system, designed to treat both low and high energy fractures of the ankle. The all-in-one tray provides a solution for simple to complex injuries of the distal tibia and fibula.
The plates are designed with universal circular holes that are compatible with 2.7, 3.5, and 4.0 mm screws in the system. Screws within the trays are offered as locking, nonlocking, and variable angle options. Cannulated 4.0 mm screws are also available in the tray.
The Ankle Syndesmosis Repair System with Acu-Sinch Knotless is intended to provide fixation during the healing process following a syndesmotic trauma, such as fixation of syndesmosis disruption in connection with Weber B and C ankle fractures.
The Acu-Sinch Knotless device consists of a lateral Round Button and medial Flip Button connected by self-locking suture loop. The Titanium Flip Button is designed to pass through a 3.5 mm bone tunnel, plates, or intramedullary nails with a nonlocking 3.5 mm hole, while the low-profile titanium Round Button is compatible with a variety of titanium fibula plates and nails with 3.5 mm nonlocking screw holes, including the Distal Lateral Fibula Plate and 1/3 Tubular Plate in the OsteoMed ExtremiLock Ankle Plating System.
Tibia Osteotomy Two Plate Medial/Lateral Surgical Technique Lab with John Early, MD
Using a two-plate approach, Dr. John Early first demonstrates a tibia osteotomy and implantation of a medial tibia plate to correct alignment after ankle injuries. Dr. Early then performs an opening wedge osteotomy and uses a lateral fibula plate to complete the procedure.
