Flat foot deformities occur upon gradual collapse of the arc of the foot caused by a congenital disposition, or insufficiency and failure of the Posterior Tibial tendon, Deltoid ligament or Spring ligament. Flat Foot deformities can be surgically treated through performing a Cotton osteotomy, Evans osteotomy, or reconstruction of the capsular ligaments and tendons.
